Are You Confused?
Confused?
As I listen to you tell me your stories of being sexually abused in church situations, the one phrase that always comes up is "I was so confused".
When confusion overwhelms us and clouds our ability to judge a situation for what it is, the results can be devastating. Certainly there are many situations throughout life that leave us confused, however the difference among pastoral sexual abuse survivors is that they never saw anything like this happening to them in what most of consider to be a morally safe place—church.
