They Put A Scarlet Robe On Him
"They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him". Matthew 27:28

Being stripped of his clothes, and then dressed in the color of scarlet, Jesus certainly knew what it was like to be abused by power and utterly shamed. He too kept silent throughout his abuse, for such a time as this. He knew solitude, the path of walking alone. Then, being lead to his darkest hour, ended up asking his Father why he has been forsaken.

Even after all the drama of what just happened, right after Jesus' body goes missing from the tomb, is a scene of the chief priests meeting with the elders, and what do they do?

Matthew 28:11-15, "The guards went into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened. The chief priests had met with the elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money, telling them, “You are to say, ‘His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep.’ If this report gets to the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.” So the soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed". (end quote).

What do the chief priests do? They devise a plan! They lie. They give money to the soldiers to lie. They cover the truth! Fearful cowards, wanting to save face, and to 'satisfy' those of superior rank. No admission of wrong. This sounds all too familiar. The abusive 'chief priests' and 'elders' of today still lie and cover the truth. Misuse money and crucify the innocent. Truly, nothing is new under the sun.

Three famous words remain, "It is finished". Silence. BrOkEN Silence. BROKEN SILENCE. The earthquake. Our Father God is Faithful! The power of evil is rent when the veil is torn into two. The truth can now prevail. Our voices now be heard and ...

Never Again Will A Sacrlet Robe Ever Touch Him.
